the Valiant isn't worth it. the Reason has more armor, better maneuverability, similar guns. the only thing the valiant has over the reason is top speed and more damage reduction. i would definitely say that valiants are not worthwhile. 3 LSB for a valiant vs 67 MoV for a reason. better to get a reason or work towards a trinity.

btw... mercy's were buffed as well. for naval officers, i might suggest the mercy as your OS 6on6 pvp ship.

anyhow... as for "signature ship".... all the above are too expensive. i'd say a signature ship must be one of the regular ships that aren't too expensive. vanilla hercs, conq sleek, tigre MC, and capri MC fall into that category.

you can get one mercy for 10 magistrate commendations.

after that, they also cost a bunch of MoV. (even more than a reason.)

i think while saving up for the reason, you should get another alex.

if you really need to save money... then get a heavy deliverance.

i emptied my lumber mill of labor hours last night. not sure 24 hours would be enough to complete the huge hull and the riggings.

but if annabelle still has her lumber mill standing by, we might pull this off. i'll check with ack later.

we forgot about one little detail.....

i am out of provisionings from making the last mordaunts (takes 20) and when i look on the AH last night, they are selling for 4k!

that is 3k over the cost, which equates to almost doubling the cost of our mordaunts.

i'll have to figure out a way to get more provisionings...

I didn't forget, that's why I mentioned I was glad to get at least 1 from that batch of mordaunts.

Anyhow, not sure if we want to make our own still, but Nat and Annabelle still have the same provision components making ability: Rum, Leather, Wheat Flour

After the port battle of Grenville last night, JL has a total of 46MoVs. When natalie sinks his stral mc (3 durabilities left), JL should be able to get some more. However, if you guys have any MoVs to spare (or able to get off the AH at a reasonable price), JL will gladly pay you back.

a basic raa frigate costs 12k to build. (maybe more if stuff like ship provisioning has to be purchased) this provides 4 durability. each durability when "farmed" provides 3 MoV and 3 MoT. so for 12k you can get 12 MoV and 12 MoT.... that's like 500 per mark....

perhaps we should consider this... lol....

though.. perhaps if natalie were higher level... we can farm her ships for MoV for no cost other than the time needed to capture ships and farm them....
