Epic 24 v 24 battle at Nassau, France attacking the British to win over the Port of Nassau

Summary:
19 British Ships Sunk, 1 2nd rate fled, other captained skewered in avatar combat in town
6 French Ships Sunk

I attribute this victory mainly to the leadership of Noble D. He managed the capabilities of the French forces very well (we had 5 3rd rates) and made effective decisions at many key points in the battle, mainly to try to stay together and in formation. After our first Nassau win, I felt it was a lot of luck plus our greater numbers. After this one, I really feel that BB France (TRM in particular) is growing up really nicely. I have confidence in our future. Though hopefully, LVF will be there to contribute to this future. This battle, about 21 TRM, and 3 others from 3 other societies.

Notable moments:
- Noble D's 3rd rate got boarded at one point, but the other captains was able to take out the Brit.
- Skirmish group brought their A-game and took out the guns in record time

we wouldn't be able to do that.. except maybe in our private vent channel.

and there's also the issue of being a part of their econ setup. the "popular" people aren't the skilled ones. the popular people are the ones who contribute to the economy freely. (ie give stuff, lol) right now... the members of LVF aren't judged by our contribution. only by our skill. (or lack thereoff )

Ah, French success in conquest is certainly quite an incentive for JL to continue his services for the French navy.

Herc (ready for pickup) and hermes sleek in production. The only other ship JL would like would be a reason for PB's. If that can be done soon, then I will consider signing up for another month.

Also...I fully endorse the merger of LVF with RM. We can still keep the society name, but will become sort of a subgroup of RM. And since JL isn't really into iron production for himself anyhow, he would be happy to make transactions with RM at cost. The only suggestion I have is to have an official window with them. Perhaps Alizee or Ariane dealing on diplomatic matters, and Sophie on economic matters?

Hehehe, that's harder to get than normal ships. You need 65 MOVs, and so need to PVP more. We had a decent session last night, was wondering were you were. With the herc, I think we make a fine group. Must avoid groups of 6s tho.

the mordaunts themselves aren't that good. you have to convert them to a reason for them to be any good. you are better off getting an alex.

as for pvp.... you'll need something smaller and faster than a herc. ack finally got into a hermes today.. and we almost had a great battle... except he left the herms naked and got himself sunk, lol.

Ok, just renewed my subscription today. Looking forward towardsa some more pvp and port flipping stuff.

Gonna use the lancer for small ship pvp and the herc for pb's for the time being, at least until I save up enough for the reason.

you get around 100 points per ship. and they just started working on a 12 ship fleet as we were wrapping up. so i think they should have been able to do it.

I checked late last night around 0130, and it said the port battle will start in 1 day and some hours, which puts it squarely sometime during this tuesday night.

Time to put up a OS group and go after the british fleets for sme contention!!!

we need to grind 2-3 fleets at least. nowadays you need over 1.5k personal conquest points to get in with so many people working it.
