what you want is a lvl 50 quest where there are only 2-3 lvl 50 ships to sink. preferably with friendly NPC to add additional firepower and to soak up damage. the idea is to quickly sink the enemy ships. collect the bounty, loot, and commendations. drop the quest. go back to the quest giver and pick up the quest again. repeat. once you've identified a good quest, never turn it in, or you will not be able to repeat it.

ice and i have been doing a quest in ruddy cove that fits these parameters. however, since you and ack had completed the quest there, you need to find something else on your own. there are at least two quests in cayo that i think work for this purpose as well. one where 3 ships spawn and you need to board one to complete. another quest has 2 spawn, and after a few minutes another 2 spawn.

there are also some lvl 50 quests in tortuga. however, the problem with tortuga is that it is a big town with lots of running around to reach the quest npc.

if you truly aspire to getting a 3rd or even 2nd rate any time soon, you'll need to find a source of income for when you are solo. when there are RM around, you would want to try to get in on the contention grinding groups. katie johnson and mathis/josee are the pve grind leaders in RM.
