", I'd love to see how that plays out with you and Yldaen."

I read that literally at first, thanks for the image ...

Rolen follows this with a knowing wink at the gnome.
if Rolen were posting this to a web forum, he would follow the sarcastic remark with a wink smiley like this ;-)

was that last sentence i typed in necessary to convey the right tone?

I think I would have caught on to your intention without it, but it's fine to add it if you feel like it.

Considering he's half your height, you know what "directly" would mean, don't you?

I think we were ready. :)
You must construct additional pylons!

Go for it then! I advise you that we have already departed a bit from the published adventure that serves as basis for this campaign; I'm keeping to it as background as to events that occur and other useful material, but it's up to you to decide what to do! There will be times where the line to follow will not be clearly traced and we'll need to be creative to drive the story foward.

Really, did you *really* just say that?

i agree... i might have gone a little too far with that... but at the same time, rolen's no cleric. he doesn't feel the blessings of any deity on a day to day basis.... so, even if he doesn't say those exact words.. he'd probably say something like it.

i know harrower is saving this line for the right moment with the silver necromancer: "my name is sealamin darksbane.. you killed my father... prepare to die"

I was expecting Jenna to say something like "have fun storming the castle"

combat tactics..... would discussing such things in the OOC thread be meta-gaming? or should such discussions be conducted in-character in the game thread?

the combat i've seen the party do to-date has pretty much been everyone doing their own best attack, not taking into account possible synergies between their abilities and feats. i'm certain rolen can help other characters be more effective in combat, and others can probably do things to help him as well.
