I was just about to post this. I've been following the splash screen on Blizzard.com for a week or so now and it's finally been unveiled. Check out http://www.blizzard.com for more info on it and to see the D3 splash screen. Looks sweet.

yea, i saw this over the weekend as well. its looks very nice. but, i will say so far it looks like D2 but with way better graphics. not that its a bad thing. i mean before WoW, D2 was my addiction.

Blizz will be making even more money from me... with SC2, WotLK, AND D3 coming... oh my. not enough hours in the day...

so does all this hype make anyone wanna play D2 again? i know i seriously considered it this morning... i tried to find my discs, but of course i am missing the "play disc". DOH!

so maybe i will get get the battle chest this weekend and fart around.

Hmmm... I'd suggest downloading the latest patch and patching it.
They added in a no-CD thing to it (but you just have to have all of the MPQs copied over).

I've got a hardcore necromancer that I've been dorking around with.

i personally enjoyed buiding the characters, trying different buids, and gearing them out. my favorite was always the necromancer.

I got almost 12k honor yesterday with the only premade being me, you, toede, stuu, haruma and coldite for a few games.

I'm not sure "like" is the proper word to use, but I can handle it.

the main difference for me which makes me like d2 more than wow is the speed in which you dispatch your foes. I don't know how many times I've fell asleep hittng the mobs in wow.

Seriously, I think I'll be giving this one a try. But I do have to upgrade.

Morgan, you really should get D2 and the expansion. Not sure how they will play now as they are dated, but they were (are?) great at the time.

d2 wasn't mindless. its just more twitch based than wow is. footwork, positioning and movement are much more important in d2 than in wow.
