i'm fairly certain the list of people who can say they were the lead designer of a game as big as diablo iii is pretty short.

Just because it's a small list doesn't mean only those people are capable of doing said job.

well, in any case, i think we both agree on the final result....

i'm going to be on business travel for a while. maybe i'll get the game to play while i'm out there. (assuming i can get decent internets out there.)

just download it now and play it in offline mo.... nevermind

looks like you'll be playing an old copy of Sim City or something as there's nothing else I can think of that I bought on a disc in the past 5 years that doesn't require an internet connection

Steam games work, you just need to set steam to offline mode while connected to the internet. Do that while at home then while on travel he will be able to load up steam and play the single player of any game he has on that account.
