Mojang’s Scrolls Gets Site & Video

Mojang Scrolls

Mojang’s new game Scrolls has a new website and video trailer. I totally understand why Bethesda sued Mojang over this.. I almost thought for a second that this was the successor to Skyrim! Ok, I didn’t really think that.

The idea of the game is to combine elements of trading-card games and more traditional board games – something that’s been done quite a few times. Can Mojang pull of something that resembles Heroes of Might or Magic?

Steam Library Analysis

Steam Library Played

I came across a pretty slick little site today that looks at your steam library and tells you whether or not you actually play the games you own. I found it interesting because while I knew I own a lot of games that I never play (thanks, Steam Sales…) I had no idea it was 54% of my games… I literally haven’t played over half of my games and of the half I have played, 15% of those have been played for less than an hour.

Take a look and see what potion of your Steam library you’ve never played: http://www.lambentstew.com/webblog/miniproject/steamanalysis

Just Cause 2 Trainer

Just Cause 2

So I’ve been having some good fun with Just Cause 2. I’ve had it for a while when I picked it up during a Steam Sale a while back and just haven’t gotten the chance to play it. If you like Grand Theft Auto and the free-roam type games then you’re going to probably love Just Cause 2. Think of it like Spider-man meets Grand Theft Auto… with a ton of explosions.

There was one thing I really always wanted to do in the game though and that was tethering vehicles together or to a car or to a pedestrian and watch them get dragged off, but unfortunately the grappling hook has a strength-limit and breaks if too much strain is put on it. That’s where the BoloPatch comes in. You’ll start up Just Cause 2 and then minimize it to start the BoloPatch. Once it’s started you can choose to have infinite life, ammo, unbreakable grapples, and even multiple grapples (have to disable and re-enable to get rid of the multiple grapples). That’s it! Just tab back into the game and it’s good to go.

I had a hard time finding an updated BoloPatch for the current version of JC2 on Steam, but I found it and figured I’d host it here so there’s another source out there. If you try to use an older version of the trainer it will tell you that it doesn’t detect JustCause.exe or something and refuses to run.
