Minecraft Texture Packs

These are some of my favorite texture packs for Minecraft. I’ll have a screenshot and a link to each one as well as a short description of each one. Some of these texture packs may require you to use Optifine or MC Patcher HD, both of which are available over on the Patchers and Mods section.

Sphax Purebdcraft

Sphax Purebdcraft

Sphax is a somewhat minimalistic texture pack with a great cartoony feel to it. It comes in low resolution versions (16x, 32x) and also comes in the very high resolution versions (256x, 512x).

Soartex Fanver

Soartex Fanver

Soartex Fanver is the continuation of the popular Soartex texture pack that the creator abandoned. It’s true to the original texture pack despite numerous additions to the game since Soartex was discontinued. It’s a nice “smooth” clean feeling texture pack and is available in the 64x flavor.

Defstyle

Defstyle

Defstyle is a slightly modified version of the default texture pack. If you’re a fan of the default texture pack and need a quality 16x texture pack, this one might be for you. A lot of blocks are lighter or more easily distinguished from one another without it being tacky or standing out too much.

R3D.Craft

R3D.Craft

This texture pack is really pretty nifty. It’s a high-definition take on the default texture pack adding a lot of detail and some relief-texture to some of the blocks. It’s available in 32x but really starts to make a difference in the look and feel of the game with the larger 256x and 512x versions.

Misa’s Realistic Texture Pack

Misa's Realistic Texture Pack

Misa’s is a well established realistic texture pack with a gritty sort of grungy feel to it. It comes in one flavor: 64x and is a fairly well detailed texture pack. If you’re looking for something a little more “rustic” feeling, give this texture pack a shot.

I’ll update this page with more interesting or quality texture packs as I come across them. If there are any you think I should check out, leave a comment and let me know!
