MCPatcher HD – Download for Minecraft 1.1

What it is:
This easy to install mod allows you to use “HD” texture packs in minecraft. An HD texture pack is a texture that’s larger than 16 pixels by 16 pixels. Some higher definition textures are 32×32, 64×64, and even up to 512×512. Higher resolution texture packs typically use more RAM than lower resolution packs. Use discretion.

Instruction:
Download the patcher and run it; it’s an .exe. It will automatically find your Minecraft installation. Select what you wish to install and hit “Patch”. To revert back to the default Minecraft just run the program again and hit “Unpatch”.

Optifine – Download for Minecraft 1.0
Updated for release!

What it is:
Optifine allows you to run “HD” texture packs like MCPatcher HD does but gives you more control over various graphics aspects such as a brightness slider, fog controls, particles, moving water, clouds, etc. Use this if you want more control over the graphics or if you have a slow machine and would like to increase your framerate.

Installation:
1) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
2) Delete the META-INF folder.
3) Copy the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.

Zombe Modpack – Download for Minecraft 1.1

What it is:
This is a collection of SSP and SMP compatible mods. The most well-known is the “fly” mod included.

Installation:
1) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
2) Delete the META-INF folder.
3) Copy the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.
4) Create a new folder in your “.minecraft” folder called “Mods”
5) Create a new folder in your new “Mods” folder called “Zombe”
6) Copy all the config text files into this folder (just the contents, not the config folder itself).
7) Open the config.txt and “unhash” (remove the # at the front of the line) any mods you wish to enable.
For example: Fly mod, press CTRL+F and type “fly” to jump to the fly section. Remove the # in front of “enable fly mod” and make sure the keybinds are set properly. You will have to change any conflicting keybinds in Minecraft’s options.

Too Many Items – Download for Minecraft 1.1

What it is:
This is a mod that allows you in SSP to give yourself any item and in SMP to give yourself any item as long as you’re an OP or have access to the /give command. If it’s not showing up for you and you’re sure you installed it properly, Press “O” in-game to hide/show the items.

Installation:
1) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
2) Delete the META-INF folder.
3) Copy the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.
Note: If you are installing multiple mods, install TMI last!

Yogbox – Download for Minecraft 1.0.0

What it is:
This is a collection of mods for Minecraft that have been assembled and made easy to install by the famous Yogscast crew. This mod includes such features as Mo’ Creatures, Millenaire, Baby Animals and more. You can pick and choose which mods you wish to install when you launch the Yogbox. It comes with a Painterly texture pack to make sure that there are skins for all the new items and creatures. If you want to use another skin, make sure it’s compatible with Yogbox or at least the mods listed above or you may find yourself missing textures.

Installation:
1) Make sure you have a fresh MINECRAFT.JAR before installing (use the force update option in your Minecraft launcher)! Also if you have an existing MODS and/or MILLENAIRE folder, remove them or back them up before installing to avoid possible issues!
2) Extract the contents of this zip into its own folder, then run the YOGBOX Installer.jar (right click, open with java) and follow the on screen prompts. Selecting no optional mods will install the core experience.
3) Run the game! You may need to select Kas’s texture pack under the Texture Pack options or things might look funny.
