Star Citizen

Star Citizen

If you like scifi/space theme for video games, you need to check this one out. Star Citizen is set to be the next Wing Commander or Freelance.

The idea is to make a living universe that is shaped by the players. Find a new anomaly and were the first to ‘jump’ it? Now it’s named after you. No yearly expansion. Every two weeks more content will be added to the game.

If this game delivers half of what it says, it will be awesome. I can’t wait.

SWTOR F2P Details

SWTOR F2P

SWTOR’s site was updated with a bit more detail on what exactly the free-to-play side would receive. The main limitations are 3 Flashpoints weekly and 3 Warzones weekly. You can buy weekly passes to give you a weeks worth of access to the full version of the game and you’ll have to pick one up if you’re wanting to do Operations at all. Another big drawback is that you’ll have to have a license from the Cartel to actually equip most purple items. Overall it’s not a bad deal considering with low subscription numbers the main draw to the game will be it’s engrossing story line – all of which is completely available for free-to-play players.

One thing to note is that there’s still no date other than “coming this fall.” It’s middle of October – I’m kind of ready to reinstall this game, hurry up Bioware!

WoW Hacker Kills Thousands

WoW Hacker Kills Thousands

A hacker yesterday exploited a glitch allowing him to create level 1 characters, fly around, and target and /kill players on a whim. WoW Insider has an article covering it and claims it’s probably the largest mass killing since the Corrupted Blood exploit. A GM has stated in the forums that it has since been hotfixed and is no longer a threat to players. The source of the hack most likely came from Ownedcore, a website famous for it’s WoW exploits, private servers, etc.

Check out this screenshot to see the extent of the damage on one of many servers effected:
